Clinical Considerations

Patients may feel a mild snapping sensation or warmth during treatment; topical numbing is generally not required. Mild erythema or transient bruising may occur post-treatment. Optimal results are usually achieved after 1–3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, depending on vessel size and location. Compression stockings may be advised for post-leg vein treatment. Sun protection is essential before and after treatment to prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
